A guide to find the cheapest VOIP provider for your preferred call destinations
Nowadays the bandwidth provided by any ADSL provider is enough wide to achieve VOIP phone calls with the highest quality obtaining great savings on the phone bill.
But it is not always easy to find the provider that offers you the best rates. The provider that offer the best call rates for one country can be much less convenient for other countries.
To make the choice easier you can take advantage from some websites that make a comparison between the VOIP providers. Just to give a couple of examples:
https://www.voipkredi.com/page.php?page=betamax-dellmont
http://www.voipratetracker.com/compare_rates
However, I’ll spend here some words for this website: http://www.voip-comparison.com
I like this website because, unlike other similar websites which do the comparison for a single destination country, it allows comparing several providers for multiple countries.
Just click on the drop-list all the countries you call more often. For example, suppose that you are often calling Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Colombia: click on these countries and then when the list is complete click OK:
A list will be shown, containing the calling rates of more than 60 VOIP providers. For each provider you can see the rates for calling the landline numbers, the mobile numbers and for sending SMS for all the countries you have selected.
You can sort the table based on the increasing order of a column: just click on the symbols of the top of the table (for ex.: click on the small house to sort according to the landline numbers rates).
On the last column, with the yellow strip on the top, you can see the average cost calculated over all the countries of your interest. In this way, the choice of the cheapest provider for your telephonic habits will be very easy.
The same website offers another search page dedicated to Betamax providers:
http://www.voip-comparison.com/betamax
In this page too you can select the countries of your interest in the “Select your destination” droplist. Then click onr “require rates”.
The page will display a table where only the countries of your interest are displayed. The green boxes will highlight the cheapest providers for a certain destination, making your choice of the best provider easier.
Once you have chosen your provider, just click its name on top of the table and you’ll be redirected to the website of that provider.
I hope this article will be helpful for all who wish to reduce their telephone bill.
